A new FPLC column containing EndoTrap HD recently introduced by LIONEX. The column can be connected to any chromatography platform yielding reliable process data for further applications.


EndoTrap® removes endotoxins (lipopolysaccharides/LPS) from aqueous solutions of a wide range of samples such as proteins, antibodies, vaccines, nucleic acids, buffers and cell extracts with excellent sample recovery rate. 
EndoTrap® has been used for the elimination of endotoxin in more than 200 publications.

New Performance Data for EndoTrap®

A new study (Reich et al Univ Regensburg) describes the efficiency of four endotoxin removal resins from different suppliers including EndoTrap®. EndoTrap® HD  was shown to be the most effective resin for removing endotoxins and recovering protein in comparison to the other resins tested under the following conditions; 

1. BSA samples [1 ml of 1 mg/ml] in 20mM Borate buffer, 150 mM NaCl, 0.1 mM CaCl2, 
    pH 9, containing 15,000 EU/ml were purified with the indicated resins,

2. BSA samples [1 ml of 1 mg/ml] in 20 mM TRIS, 150 mM NaCl, 0.1 mM CaCl2 pH 7.4, containing 15,000 EU/ml were purified with the indicated resins,

3. BSA samples [1 ml of 1 mg/ml] in 20mM sodium acetate, 150 mM NaCl, 0.1 mM CaCl2, pH 5, containing 15,000 EU/ml were purified with the indicated resins,

4. BSA samples [1 ml of 1 mg/ml] in 20mM MES, 150 mM NaCl, 0.1 mM CaCl2, pH 6, containing 15,000 EU/ml were purified with the indicated resins.
